| NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics POSITION: Assistant Director of Development – Chicago Development Operations & Special Events. 12 Month athletic service basis, 100% Academic Professional Appointment PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coordinate, develop, and implement year-round donor activities and events, which contribute to the overall donor engagement, fundraising production, and visibility and positive impression of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Illinois throughout the Chicagoland area. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Organize and execute high-quality public and private donor events, establishing the ultimate goal in growing the I FUND membership, which will lead to an increase in fundraising production for the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. 2. Coordinate and plan all stewardship initiatives and public relations events in the Chicagoland area, and in select national regions, collaborating with the Alumni Association and Athletics Marketing as needed. 3. Coordinate various stewardship initiatives and events on campus for donors, working closely with the Associate Director of Development, Special Events and Stewardship. 4. Create and manage calendars and schedules for donor solicitations for the Chicago Office of Athletics Development. 5. Work in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Athletics, I FUND Scholarships and staff to create, analyze, and disseminate various fundraising tracking reports that support annual and major giving programs for the Chicagoland area. 6. Coordinate and track all pending proposals, solicitations, and donor renewal notification for Chicagoland area donors. 7. Represent the Chicago Office of Athletics Development at various meetings as required. 8. Evening and weekend hours and travel may be required. 9. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required. |
