The Assistant will report directly to the Associate Athletics Director for Athletic Communications and will perform tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: event coverage (statistical compilation and public address announcing); writing and editing of releases, student-athlete biographies and feature stories; Website content creation and maintenance; recording and editing video of home events and interviews; contributing to the social media platforms; graphic design; and archiving of information. The Assistant will assist in the management of student assistants, and is expected to adhere to all NCAA, North Eastern Athletic Conference and Wilson College rules and regulations
Starting Date: August 15, 2017 (9 month part time position)
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Sports Management. Prior experience in an Athletic Communications office with statistical software programs (Statcrew), InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro is highly preferred. Weekend and evening hours required.
Additional Salary Information: 9 month part time position with occasional evenings and weekends
