Responsibilities: The Director of Student-Athlete Services is responsible for the development and implementation of all programming designed to support student-athletes in the areas of academic success, leadership enhancement, community service, and character development. Position will oversee all athletically-related academic services and will supervise professional staff in this area. Position will also have responsibility for strategy and plan development as it relates to academic enhancement, gender equity, minority opportunities, and all strategic planning efforts on behalf of the department.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with three years' experience in Athletic Administration, student success, or working in these areas with college student-athletes. Thorough knowledge of all NCAA initial, continuing, and transfer eligibility regulations. Knowledge of student records systems (Colleague) and all NCAA data collection programs (CAi, APP, GSR). Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Must be well organized. Computer skills necessary.
Desired Qualifications: Ability to actively work with all constituents of Morehead State University. Knowledge of OVC rules and regulations. Willingness to serve as part of a team dedicated to achieving any task as it relates to the success of our students and staff without regard for specific job duties.
