| The University of Connecticut is accepting applications for a full-time position of Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of a Division I Men’s and Women’s Swim program including coordination of recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes; development of the student-athlete; meet preparation; oversight responsibility of assistant coaches; support of the academic staff to ensure academic success of team members; assistance with marketing and community involvement; budget management; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. |
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; five years of collegiate and/or elite club coaching experience in a full-time position (within the past eight years); demonstrated ability to operate a successful program within NCAA and conference regulations; commitment to the academic success of student-athletes; demonstrated knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; ability to teach/communicate effectively; demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and outstanding organizational, communication, and public relations skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree; Head coaching experience; five or more years of Division I collegiate coaching experience; demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes; program operations experience that includes scheduling, budget management, and travel planning.
Salary: commensurate with experience.
