| Salem College, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the USA South Athletic Conference, is seeking a women’s basketball graduate assistant coach. |
The graduate assistant coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the daily operations and overall administration of an NCAA Division III program. Duties include but are not limited to: recruiting, coaching, scouting opponents, game preparation, student-athlete mentoring, monitoring academic progress, player development and administrative assistance.
The candidate must be able to be accepted into one of Salem College’s graduate programs. Candidate must have a good work ethic, strong organizational skills, ability to work effectively with collegiate student-athletes, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work flexible hours, college coaching and/or playing experience and interested in coaching and/or teaching as a profession.
Reporting to the head coach, the graduate assistant is a ten-month position starting August 1, 2017 and is renewable for three consecutive years (3 years total). Candidates selected for an assistantship will receive full tuition waiver and monthly stipend.
