The Associate Athletic Trainer will serve as a certified athletic trainer for the football team; provide quality comprehensive care for student-athletes through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses and assist with injury rehabilitation. Responsibilities: Traveling nationally and internationally with the team, oversight of the football athletic training room including schedule, recruitment of new graduate assistant athletic trainers; coordinate physician's clinic including scheduling; serve as a certified athletic trainer for the football team, including practice and game coverage as well as team travel.; assist in education, assignments, evaluation and supervision of the department's graduate assistant athletic trainers including game coverage; compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation for the football team; communicate with coaches and athletic department staff on various issues, including the Sports Medicine Department policies and procedures, student-athlete status, restrictions and treatment/rehabilitation appointment compliance and progress; coordinate team physician and staff with the operation of the physician's clinic in the football athletic training room; collaborate with other departments – strength and conditioning, academic services and equipment room to provide a positive experience for the student athlete; oversee chiropractic and OMT care for the football team; assist with establishing, coordinating, supervising and monitoring athletics training services to all student-athletes.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in health related field; Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association; registered athletic trainer in the State of New York; 10-15 plus years of work experience at a Division One institution; NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer 10-15 years of experience; CPR Certified; Training in Bloodbourne pathogens; Certified in Functional Movement Screening (Preferred); Soft Tissue Mobilization certification (Preferred).
