Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
Aquinas College is seeking candidates for a full-time Assistant/Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Internal Operations. Aquinas College is a proud member of NAIA and the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). This position develops and coordinates all strategies and activities related to the internal operations for the institution’s athletic department. This is a vital cost containment position through development, implementation, and execution of the budget. Master’s Degree is preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required. NCAA or NAIA Administrative and leadership experience is preferred. Aquinas College is an equal opportunity employer.
Counsel and instruct all student-athletes on pertinent rules to their programs, to ensure full comprehension and understanding by all team members
Collect, review and evaluate information related to coaches’ recruiting of athletes, to ensure compliance with rules. Advise coaches of violations, recommend future courses of action to remain in compliance with the Conference and National Office alleviations.
Research and investigate any reported or suspected instances of rules violations. Recommend and/or administer appropriate penalties.
Coordinate and/or provide administrative support for coaches of all sports teams at Aquinas; attend practices, home and away games, and Conference championships as appropriate to represent the department, assess administrative needs, and help evaluate coaches.
Develop policies and procedures to comply with Conference rules and regulations. Communicates the policies and procedures, monitors ongoing activity, direct and recommends action to correct deficiencies, and prepare various reports.
Monitor student financial aid eligibility and other Conference reports. Ensures athletic scholarships and financial aid is awarded properly and within the rules of the Conference and any other National Conference we may be affiliated with now and in the future.
Provide compliance program support and develop recommendations/conclusions for matters concerning student-athlete recruiting, rules education, and eligibility.
Prepare the Title IX Equity in Athletics Report.
Manage and develop an effective budget process.
Work with the business office to effectively implement the process
