Position: Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball Operations 12 month athletic service basis, 100% Academic Professional Appointment
Primary Position Function: Assist the head coach in the total administration of the women’s basketball program.
• Student managerial staff supervisor: organize work assignments for the student managerial staff for daily practices and home and away contests. • Assist with the coordination of team travel, game pass lists, and end of the year banquet. • Liaison between head coach to DIA administration for: o Facility scheduling and preparation - coordination in scheduling facilities usage and preparation for practices and games o Event Management – coordination with Event Management for all game day operations needs o Marketing and Promotions-coordination with Marketing and Promotions staff provide game/tournament information o Assist with day to day monitoring of travel budget; assist with proposed travel budget annually • Coordinate scheduling for practice players • Assistant Camp Director: coordinate administrative duties involved with the individual, team, and parent-child camps. Duties include housing arrangements, obtaining officials for games, organizing camp coaching staff. • Assist in the design, coordination, and organization of activities as it relates to alumni relations and outreach • Knowledge of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.
Salary: Entry level position; salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Starting Date: As negotiated after completion of search.
