| The Assistant Director/Coordinator of Annual Giving is a key member of the Annual Giving team providing vital support to our donor service needs for more than 10,000 donors through direct contact via phone, email, and in person. This position is responsible for strategic communications and special project direction for the Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund’s Annual Giving program. This includes: creating a strong narrative for philanthropic support, exceptional donor/customer service (internal and external), and creating and editing correspondence. The position is also responsible for specific Annual Giving team initiatives that require collaboration with a variety of other projects, events and programs within the University of Maryland Athletic Department. |
Responsible for development and implementing innovative and creative strategies for the solicitation of suites and mezzanine seating at Maryland Stadium responsible for generate and driving revenue through seats. In conjunction with the Associate Director, manages annual renewal cycles for Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund, premium seating, and sports specific gifts. Manages requests for upgrades/downgrades/additional seats, delinquent payments and waiting lists; and, keeps development team informed of current availability in all areas to support sales efforts, communication with donors; articulate a strong case for philanthropic support of Maryland student-athletes, Oversee the compilation and distribution of the Terrapin Times magazine publication; Provides support to Annual Giving program/team members through scheduling group meetings, managing department meeting agendas, administering complex calendar scheduling, and other activities as needed.
Responsible for donor/customer service as the initial contact for inquiries received via phone, email and in person. Responsible for answering donor questions regarding how to make a gift, giving history, stewardship and engagement opportunities, Terpoint totals, etc.
In conjunction with the Annual Giving Team, coordinates the parking program for all donors and premium seat holders for football and men’s basketball; Assists with the discretionary inventory for premium seating available for individual game uses and coordinates discretionary inventory that can be used to further fundraising strategies with individual donors and prospects; Assist in strategic allocation of seats and collaborate with ticket office on any re-seating efforts.
In conjunction with the Associate Director, work with the Maryland Athletics coaches to support the annual giving strategies of their sports specific giving programs; Oversee the compilation and distribution of the Terrapin Times magazine publication.
