Responsible for assisting in the administration of a sound program of athletic injury/illness prevention, the recognition, evaluation and immediate care of injury/illness, the rehabilitation and reconditioning of injuries/illnesses and the administration of this health care system. Serve as a primary athletic trainer for assigned travel and non-travel teams. Keep accurate records of all treatments of athletic injuries; organize the training room and provide service to the summer camp program.
A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer credentials. Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines. Proven work history in an independent setting. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Demonstrated forward thinking and innovation abilities. Michigan Athletic Trainer's license or ability to obtain license within 90 days of employment. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable with the University's office of risk management.
