The successful candidate will direct and assist in the following areas:
Maintenance of the conference website including press releases and statistics
Execution of various social media initiatives and platforms
Dissemination of news about the conference
Pre- and post-championship event coverage
Serve as the conference liaison for various committees/sport championships as determined
Coordinate and/or provide general assistance for various operational needs including on-site championships operations, officials payroll (Arbiter), execution of contracts and sponsorship deliverables, game video exchange, sport and championship manuals, scheduling processes, travel reconciliation, awards and other duties as assigned
The successful candidate should possess the following educational qualifications, skills and experience:
Master's degree (preferred) in communications, public relations, writing, or other similar field
Minimum of two years of professional experience, preferably at an NCAA institution or conference office
Working knowledge of Adobe Suite Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, StatCrew, and other new and developing technologies
Have the ability to travel as required to conference championship events, in support of conference governance, and to NCAA/other conference related events. Must possess a current driver's license with unrestricted ability to travel when needed (estimated 20% of work time)

Formed in 2013, The Mountain East Conference is the newest NCAA Division II conference. With a mantra of “Creating Opportunity – Pursuing Excellence”, the Mountain East Conference has quickly become recognized as a competitive force in Division II athletics. In its first three years of competition, the members of the MEC have collectively claimed a Women's Volleyball National Championship, a Wrest...ling National Championship and have reached the national championship game in Football, Men's Basketball, and Men's Soccer in a highly competitive conference. The Mountain East Conference is comprised of 12 institutions, 7 public/5 private from West Virginia (9), Ohio (2), and Virginia (1), including: Concord University, The University of Charleston (W.Va.), Fairmont State University, Glenville State College, Notre Dame College (Oh.), Shepherd University, Urbana University (Oh.), The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, West Liberty University, West Virginia State University, West Virginia Wesleyan College, and Wheeling Jesuit University. The MEC is centrally located to its membership in Bridgeport, West Virginia less than a mile off of Interstate 79, which is only 90 minutes from Pittsburgh and less than four hours drive-time from the following metropolitan areas: Cleveland, Oh., Washington, D.C., Columbus, Oh., Buffalo, N.Y., and Roanoke, Va.
