High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year experience in athletic facility maintenance/grounds keeping/landscaping or a related field.
Knowledge of athletic equipment and/or facility maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
Must have and maintain a valid CT driver’s license.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, climb ladders, assemble and disassemble structures.
Must be available to work a highly variable schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Previous or related experience in athletic facility maintenance and/or as a facility maintenance person strongly preferred.
Proven knowledge of field measurement requirements and set up strongly preferred. Specifically, football, soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, field hockey, rugby, softball and baseball.
Previous experience working with sports camps or in a physical education department strongly preferred.
Current pool operator’s certificate.
Prior experience in ice rink and swimming pool operations.
