| The Coordinator, Intercollegiate Athletics will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and act as one of the NCAA Compliance liaison for the Intercollegiate Athletics program. This includes research, investigation, interpretation and educational arm of the department with compliance issues. The position will be responsible for assisting with educating and developing the coaches and athletic staff in regard to compliance and certification issues. |
Responsible for acquiring and maintaining a detailed knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University Policies & Procedures. Responsible for the timely completion and submission of all NCAA Conference and University student-athlete forms as they pertain to student-athlete departmental staff rules. Individual will implement and maintain all policies and procedures of the department, University, Conference and NCAA.
Assist with maintaining the system for distributing and monitoring National Letters of Intent in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Responsible for monitoring and completing daily compliance procedure as required by the NCAA including, but not limited to, CARA, playing and practice season declarations/activities, awards and benefits, initial eligibility, etc.
Assist in administering the Coaches Recruiting Rules Compliance Test. Complete and maintain student-athlete participation lists.
Must maintain an online filing system and possess ability to navigate and utilize JumpForward computer software.
Work all home football contests and majority of men's and women's basketball home games.
Maintain confidentially of student-athletes data, including admissions, financial aid, registration and academic performance data as required: NCAA, Conference and University. All data is treated as confidential in accordance with Federal, State, and University laws and regulations. Individual must maintain confidentially of student-athlete's academic records, social problems and personal life, which cannot be released without the permission of the student-athlete. Comply with institutional system-wide, NCAA, and Conference policies and procedures.
