Responsibilities: Under direction of the Associate Athletics Director, Performance Services, provide supervision of approximately 250 ICA sporting events for 23 different NCAA Division I sports during each year. Works closely with a variety of Campus Units to promote safety and security at all events. These events will have total attendance and participant figures of approximately 200,000 people. Works closely with the Compliance and Eligibility Office to ensure that all NCAA, Conference and institutional policies and procedures are followed and adhered to. Works with a number of facility managers to coordinate the use of these various venues to ensure that they meet proper NCAA guidelines for competition.

Compensation: $3,908.33 - $7,041.67/month

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of intercollegiate sport structure, including NCAA, Big West Conference and institutional rules, as they apply to UC Davis Athletics. Knowledge of public assembly facility management practices and procedures. Knowledge of event scheduling and booking procedures. Organizational skills to simultaneously manage multiple events and duties. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a wide variety of people of diverse backgrounds and at various levels of the organization, and provide excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications: Skill to supervise, recruit, select, train, assign and evaluate staff. Knowledge of event equipment, maintenance and use. Sensitivity to the social, educational, and cultural needs of the campus community. Computer skills to use word processing, spreadsheet and database software; to conduct internet research; and to use Web-based accounting and information systems. Skill to write and accurately maintain effective records, reports, and correspondence. Knowledge of University electronic reservations systems. Knowledge of fire and safety codes, regulations and emergency procedures related to public assembly facilities.
