Serves as a research analyst within the Athletic Department. Researches and develops information systems to support peer comparisons with the Department, its programs, and its personnel. Conducts complex research and analyses. Develops and deploys surveys, analyzes data, and prepares and presents reports. Provides information to multiple offices (e.g., Compliance, Personnel, Finance, Marketing, Sport Administration, Communications) within the Clemson University Athletic Department, including NCAA and other membership-related reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Data Systems Development:
Researches and develops information systems to support peer comparisons with Clemson University Athletics. Establishes relationships with peer institutions, collects data, develops appropriate archives, and publishes reports or applications to provide peer comparison information to Department administration.
25% - Essential - Statistical Analyses:
Conducts complex research and analyses beginning with raw data. Incorporates data verification and corrections. Provides suitable archives for historical reporting needs.
20% - Essential - Research and Reporting:
Researches and develops improvements for periodic reports, surveys or processes that improve efficiency and accuracy or expands information available to Department administration. Determines sources of data and methods to be used in the collection of information for specific reports. Coordinates collection, formatting, and editing of data for reports. Collects, compiles, and inputs numerical and other research data. Designs and revises forms used for data collection and reporting. Prepares graphs, charts, maps, and other visual presentation documents. Presents orally and/or in writing as needed and requested.
15% - Essential - Surveys:
Collaborates on the design and development of surveys and other data collection instruments. Analyzes data and prepares reports as related to data collection. Disseminates data analyses and reports that are accurate and timely. Assists other Department staff with survey needs as requested.
A bachelor's degree and professional experience as a planner, researcher or statistician.A master's degree in statistics or a related discipline may be substituted for the required work experience.
