The City of Foley is accepting applications for a full-time position of MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER for the Sports Tourism Complex, who has experience working with multiple brands in the social media marketing space. Diverse knowledge of, and enthusiasm for sports are essential. Must be well organized with strong written and verbal communication skills. Graphic design or video editing skills are a plus. Candidate will oversee client campaigns, which include but are not limited to research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting.
The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of organizational social media strategies and engagement; draft press and marketing communications; monitor and maintain media coverage; website management; and ensure brand compliance. This position will also work closely with the Event Operations Manager on event marketing and communication and will assist with all Foley Sports Tourism Events as needed. Reports to the Executive Director of Sports Tourism.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in new media, communications, public relations, journalism or marketing with 1-2 years of work experience in a media, marketing or public relations environment, or an equivalent combination of education and on the job experience. Knowledge of the following software is essential: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office applications and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop. Experience with content management systems as well as digital photography and web video production is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license. Successful applicant must pass both a drug test and a full driving and criminal background check.
