Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of progressive intercollegiate athletic communications career development including areas of journalism, public relations, media services and new media strategies.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in NCAA Division 1 Intercollegiate Athletics.
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Strong writing and editing skills, graphic design skills, knowledge of statistical programming. Software skillset includes Microsoft Office and Adobe products, internet website and social media publishing/content management systems.
Working Conditions: Office setting, press box setting, press row setting, outdoor working environment at certain sporting events, team travel.
Other Requirements: Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Will work more than 40 hours per week during the academic year. Maintain consistency with University communications policies, procedures and regulations. Work closely with the NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and other athletic governing bodies.
