The Assistant Athletic Director of Development will advance the mission of Bowling Green State University by developing and implementing a level of personal involvement and financial commitment of alumni and friends. Particular emphasis will be given to strategies of cultivation and solicitation designed to support initiatives of the President’s and Athletic Director’s offices. Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities • Actively engage a prospect portfolio of no more than 150 individuals/households to secure support for Intercollegiate Athletics, as well as other areas of the University. Discover, cultivate, solicit, secure, and steward major gifts of $25,000 or more. Identify at least 30 new major gift prospects each year while making 180 face-to-face visit with donors and prospects. • Work with Leadership Circle donors to upgrade/increase levels of commitment/annual giving submitting at least 25 proposals each year for increased support. • Work with athletic endowment donors, All-American Society ($25,000 annually) and Champions Circle ($10,585 annually) donors to develop strategies for major gift proposals and multi-year commitments. • Participate in team meetings to support the Athletics priorities by identifying programs and potential donors, University initiatives and likely supporters as well as planned giving prospects that will support the needs of the University and/or Intercollegiate Athletics. • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Development or the Director of Athletics

Bachelor's Degree required. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with the university’s vehicle use policy.
Also the following experience is required:
At least 2 years of direct-development and gift solicitation experience, preferably in Athletics, Higher Ed or other non-profit group.
