| The University of Hartford, a Division I (AAA) institution and a member of the America East Conference, invites applications for the position of Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, a 12-month position. |
Duties: Reporting to the Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations, assumes responsibility for the development, oversight and maintenance of a comprehensive NCAA Division I, America East Conference and institutional compliance program for the University of Hartford; Provides management, training, guidance and evaluation for the Department of Athletics compliance function.
Responsibilities: Serves as the primary institutional liaison regarding NCAA compliance efforts; Maintains authoritative knowledge as well as provide interpretation of NCAA rules and regulations to staff, coaches, student-athletes and the University community to support the University’s adherence to all associated compliance initiatives for the University’s 18 Division I sport programs; Oversees the review and evaluation of initial academic eligibility and continuing academic eligibility for all student-athletes. Identifies, reports and/or resolves compliance infractions with senior institutional administrators as necessary and/or appropriate; Ensures that all necessary data is compiled and submitted for annual reports mandated by the NCAA in an accurate and timely manner; Prepares and presents monthly compliance education sessions on a full range of NCAA rules and regulations for coaches, administrators, student-athletes and booster groups; Conducts a campus-wide compliance education session at least once a year; Drafts, edits and submits all legislative waiver requests, student-athlete applications and associated reports to the NCAA and the America East Conference as necessary and in a timely manner; Facilitates the University voting process regarding NCAA legislative proposals and forwards recommendations to the Director of Athletics, the Faculty Athletics Representative and the University President for review; Work closely with the offices of Admission and Student Financial Assistance, oversees athletics scholarship limits.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum of five years of experience required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
