Associate Athletic Director, Compliance
The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Associate Athletic Director, Compliance.

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Athletics Compliance Office, establishing the culture of compliance in the department and at the University, and providing strategic planning and decision-making on campus and nationally in the areas of academics, financial aid, recruiting, amateurism, and other substantive areas of compliance. This position provides high-level rules interpretations to coaches, staff, student-athletes and other constituents to ensure compliance. Such interpretations generally require the exercise of independent judgment and discretion based on all information available; interpretations also might involve working at the conference or national level to clarify or encourage change of rules or their interpretations. This position is responsible for self-reporting violations to the NCAA and evaluating such reports to make policy/procedural changes as needed and filing various waivers to the applicable governing body (ACC or NCAA). The position also has responsibility for high profile student-athlete issues, including disability insurance, a gents, and education of student-athletes, boosters, employers and families. In addition to having internal credibility, the person in this position must have national credibility established through work on committees and professional development organizations. Finally, the person in this position will have direct supervisory responsibility over four full-time compliance employees (in addition to sport administrator duties).
Bachelor’s degree required and at least 7 years of related experience. Expert knowledge of all NCAA rules and application thereof; strong technology skills; attention to detail; excellent communication skills necessary to convey interpretations; command respect internally and externally based on knowledge and expertise.
