This position provides coaching expertise, teaching, skill instruction, and leadership for the team. This position assists the head coach in the effective management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes.
Primary duties and responsibilities include: •Provide coaching, teaching and skill instruction in consultation with head coach. This will include drills, film/video breakdown & exchange and fundamental techniques and individual training. •Assist in the organization and supervision of practices and contests. •Assist with implementing a successful recruiting program to attract outstanding student-athletes. •Maintain standards of performance consistent with departmental academic, personal and athletic expectation as reflected in the college’s mission statement, goals, objectives, departmental guidelines, and performance appraisal procedures. •Book accommodations and meals for away trips. •Assist with coordinating all aspects of the program compliant with the rules, regulation, and procedures of the NCAA, conference, department, or college policies. •Maintain appropriate, effective relationships with parents, alumni, friends of the program and others towards the positive image and promotion of the team, department, and college. •Represent the college at professional meetings, alumni gatherings, campus activities and civic affairs as requested by the head coach or athletic administration.
