This is a non-benefit eligible, part-time position. Hours will vary. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and New Media and will be responsible for the coordination, training and administration of the Bradley University Athletics Cheer Team.
The Head Cheerleading coach will direct the Cheerleading team and its’ student members, will assume the duties of scheduling, planning and supervising tryouts, practices, games, and public relations events for the cheerleading team. The supervisory aspect of this position is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) requirement for both risk management and liability issues that applies to student-athletes, and Bradley chooses to follow these requirements to ensure the safety of our student participants. As a result, this position requires certification by the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA). This credentialing helps to ensure the incumbent has completed safety training to mitigate risk to student participants as they perform a number of complex, athletic routines and stunts throughout practices and performances. Certification in First Aid/CPR will also be required.
