Student Welfare & Development Program Coordinator
The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Student Welfare & Development Program Coordinator.

Notre Dame Athletics strives to help student-athletes maximize their potential as students, athletes and as people. To execute this vision, Student Welfare and Development works collaboratively with coaches and sports performance professionals to support student-athletes as they develop the skills needed to excel in the high performance sports environment while also developing a portfolio of transferable skills and experiences that will benefit their future lives and careers beyond competition. Developing, coordinating, and implementing requisite, elective and complementary programs designed for student-athletes in the following key areas: Personal and Leadership development, Character development, Camaraderie building, Community involvement, and Career and Professional development;
The Program Coordinator for Student Welfare and Development will be responsible for:
Building ongoing rapport and strong relationships with students, teams, coaches, sports performance professionals, campus and community partners;
Responding to student-athlete needs/concerns and providing guidance where appropriate;
Developing informational, educational and promotional materials;
Conducting information sessions with current student-athletes, prospective student-athletes and families;
Advising student-athlete leadership and interest groups dependent on expertise and experience level;
Advising student-athletes in one-on-one, group and team settings.
Bachelor’s degree required. Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet computer applications. Passion for supporting the total development of student-athletes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact and build relationships with all levels of University administration, staff, coaches, student-athletes and various other on/off-campus groups. Ability to manage multiple priorities and take a project from idea to implementation. Positive, team player.
Master’s degree in sports management/athletics administration, counseling or related field preferred.
