Widener University’s Office of Athletics is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach, Women’s Cross-Country/Track and Field. This is a full-time, 10-month position to be responsible for all aspects of the program under the direct supervision of the Director of Athletics. The head coach will develop and manage an NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field program in accordance with NCAA and University guidelines. The head coach will also organize and execute training and event coaching responsibilities throughout each sport season. Additional duties within the department will be assigned.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, collegiate coaching experience and a valid driver’s license. The successful candidate must show experience in recruiting and retention of student-athletes and student-athlete academic monitoring. Preference will be given to candidates who have a Master’s degree.
