Position reports to the Associate Registrar and works in consultation with the Registrar's Office and the Athletic Compliance Office. Ensures the university is in full compliance with NCAA and PAC12 legislation. Provides preliminary evaluation of all prospective student athletes to ensure they are meeting initial eligibility requirements. Monitors the eligibility/admission status of all designated incoming freshman and transfer student athletes. Ensure freshman and transfer student athletes are certified, with regard to both academics and amateurism.
Maintain and update the University of Utah NCAA Institutional Request List (IRL) on NCAA Eligibility Center website. Review, process and approve requests related to preliminary campus visits taken by prospective student athletes.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalency required. Knowledge of NCAA legislation, and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
Master's degree preferred.
