Reporting into the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations and Capital Projects, the Assistant Director for Facilities Operations assists the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations in managing student workers, locker services, equipment rentals, fitness areas and intercollegiate athletics events at the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center. The Assistant Director ensures the smooth operation of assigned responsibilities while providing exceptional customer service to patrons. Supervising student managers and student workers in the equipment room, fitness room, and lifeguards at the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center Responsibilities include but are not limited to, -Tracking and inventory control of towels, locker keys, and fitness equipment at the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center -Training and scheduling of the student manager and student worker staffs for the Tri-Level Fitness area -Communicating on a daily basis with the Facility Managers and Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance of Tri-Level Fitness area, locker rooms and saunas -Assisting in facility preparation, staffing and supervision for intercollegiate athletics events -Maintaining excellent relationships and promoting quality customer service with customers at the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center and other University staff, as assigned -Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Ivy League, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Code of Ethics and rules and regulations -Contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education -Use scheduling software, EMS, to schedule rooms and athletic vans -Set up rooms and events according to the scheduling software. -Input payroll on a biweekly basis and manage the student worker budget. -Assuming other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education
