Position Summary : University of the Incarnate Word is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will serve primarily as a goal keeping specialist. Must follow all NCAA, Southland Conference, and University of the Incarnate Word Athletics Department policies and procedures and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units. This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under University of the Incarnate Word’s Sexual Misconduct Policy with reporting responsibilities as set out in the policy.
Duties include identifying, evaluating and recruiting student-athletes. Will also be responsible for the personal development of student-athletes academically and athletically. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must exhibit good judgment in advising and counseling student-athletes. Must be able to identify and participate in resolution of departmental/institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal. Enhance team effectiveness through dependability. Follow the Mission of the University. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Work Experience
Goal keeper coaching and playing experience. Three years of coaching experience at High School or University level.
Goal keeper level 1 certification.
