The Head Men’s Golf Coach at Cameron University, an NCAA Division II institution in the Lone Star Conference, is a highly responsible and demanding position. The University has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. This is a 12-month assignment. All members of the Athletic Staff are expected to be team players supporting each other while promoting the mission of the University, supporting the philosophy of the Athletic Department, and assuring the well-being of all student-athletes. The Head Men’s Golf Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic program, which is in conformity with NCAA, conference and university rules, regulations, and policies. Job Duties as Head Men’s Golf Coach include, but are not limited to: •Support and perform duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. •Instruction during practices and tournaments. •Recruiting student-athletes. •Administers a scholarship program. •Develops a budget within the allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within the developed budget. •Performs fundraising for the program and the Athletic Department. •Supervises professional and student assistants. •Develops schedules for matches, tournaments, and practices. •Active involvement in community service activities. •Assure the academic success of the student-athletes. •Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the Terry Bell Golf Center and Cameron Golf Practice Facility. •Other duties as assigned. The Head Men’s Golf Coach will be under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director. Job Duties as Coordinator of Special Functions include, but are not limited to: •Serves as the lead person at home athletic events. •Coordinates staff, student worker and athletic teams to work athletic events. •Secures half-time entertainment as needed and the National Anthem performers. •Assures the Pep Bands needs are met during athletic performances. •Greets visiting opponents and officials as they arrive for the athletic contests. •Point of contact to ensure crowd control. •Responsible for ensuring the University is conducting a top-notch athletic event. •Other duties as assigned The Coordinator of Special Functions will be under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director.
