RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and evaluate academic performance of student-athletes at Western Illinois University. Coordinate advisement services with their designated advisors in the undergraduate colleges/schools. Monitor academic progress and eligibility requirements of student-athletes as established by University and NCAA regulations. Provide appropriate life-skills (academic, athletic, career development, personal development, and service) activities for student-athletes. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree. Experience in academic advising intercollegiate student-athletes. Demonstrated understanding of the eligibility requirements of student-athletes as established by University and NCAA regulations. Experience with Life-Skills and/or programming targeted at student-athlete development. Customer service skills along with the ability to relate to a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in working with students with learning disabilities.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).
