This position assists the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in protecting the interest of the Athletic Department and Brigham Young University by actively educating, overseeing, and managing NCAA Compliance of approximately 625 student-athletes and 170 employees and coordinating with multiple departments on campus, as well as multiple off-campus entities to ensure compliance with NCAA and WCC rules and regulations.
3-5 years' experience in NCAA Division I compliance and 3-5 years' experience in University or Intercollegiate athletics environment with a Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years' experience in NCAA Division I compliance and 1-3 years' experience in University or Intercollegiate athletics environment with a Juris Doctorate or Master's Degree required
Equivalent 3 years of schooling and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of CAi, LSDBi, APR, GSR, and other applicable NCAA programs preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to make informed and decisive decisions in a fast paced and demanding environment
Ability to understand NCAA rules and regulations in the NCAA Division I Manual (420 pages) and interpretations in the NCAA database
Ability to practically apply and interpret NCAA/WCC rules and regulations for student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff members, boosters, and outside individuals who work with athletics
