St. Joseph’s College, a 4 year institution with campuses located in Long Island and Brooklyn, New York invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services on the Brooklyn Campus. St. Joseph’s College- Brooklyn houses 14 varsity sport programs (7 women's & 7 Men's) on the NCAA Division III level and is a full member of the Skyline Conference. The Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Athlete Services ensures that the department, student athletes, staff and coaches are aware of and abides by all NCAA, Conference and College rules. He/She is also expected to serve as the liaison for student athletes and various campus constituent groups in addition to being a resource for the varying life skill and developmental needs of student-athletes.

Ability to administer NCAA Division III program components, including Bylaws and Regulations set forth within the NCAA Division III Manual;
Excellent planning and organizational skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to be a supportive team player within the Athletics Department at St. Joseph’s College;
Demonstrated commitment to continued learning/professional development
A working knowledge of computer programs and systems.
Special Working Conditions
Required to work weekends and evenings as needed.
Educate Student-Athletes, Coaches, Athletic Department Staff and Campus constituency groups on NCAA, Skyline Conference and St. Joseph’s College compliance rules and regulations.
Monitor countable athletically related activities.
Monitor recruiting activities.
Know and stay abreast of all NCAA and Conference rules as they pertain to Division III and St. Joseph’s College-Brooklyn Athletics.
Administer required NCAA paperwork for Student-Athlete eligibility, drug testing, and participation.
Prepare and monitor initial and continuing eligibility reports.
Prepare and submit NCAA waivers and requests.
Send and receive Transfer Release forms.
Compose Athletic Department Compliance Manual.
Compose Student-Athlete Handbook.
Collaborate with Registrar and Academic Advising to formulate Student-Athlete class schedules.
Perform classroom and grade checks.
Compose and submit NCAA/Conference/Institutional compliance reports.
Coordinate with Manager of Athletics Communication to nominate student-athletes for awards.
Review/Approve Camp/Clinic/Fundraiser Requests submitted by coaches.
Athletic Team(s) Supervision.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.
Attend and participate in conference and NCAA meetings when applicable.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred (Field of Study: Sports Administration or related field)
Intercollegiate Athletic Administration or coaching experience preferred
