The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics in all aspects of the intercollegiate sports strength and conditioning program; including working with the coaches and support staff on the overall direction and coordination of the comprehensive program. The Coordinator is responsible for the design, development and administration of a program for speed, strength, agility and explosion that reflects the athletic department's goals. This position is responsible for creating an environment that is supportive of individual differences and maximizes the educational and athletic development of the student athletes. The Coordinator designs specific programs for each sport, in consultation with the coaches of that particular sport and is the primary strength and conditioning coach. The principal responsibilities of the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator are: coordinating the overall direction and operation of a NCAA strength and conditioning program for a 21-sport Division II men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams (plus cheerleading), providing hands on, one-on-one training with both male and female athletes, providing in-depth nutritional information for all student athletes, and oversees the Risley Hall Weight Room, including the recommendation of equipment ordering, staffing, compliance and weight room maintenance. The position may require odd hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience as a student/athlete or coach at the collegiate level.
A thorough knowledge of strength training and conditioning including certification from a nationally accredited organization.
Master's degree in physical education or exercise science related field.
Experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the college level with a diverse athletics program including experience creating programs for competitive athletic programs of both genders.
Demonstrated personal relationship skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers, staff and administrative personnel
