Manage all aspects of the ticketing operations for an assigned area or event or Intercollegiate Athletics sport at the Convocation Center and Intercollegiate Athletics, which includes supervision of season ticket sales, selling and accounting of tickets sold, and money collected. This person is responsible for handling and organizing various amounts of cash generated from multiple departments and events. Additionally, this individual’s work will be audited by internal audit on an annual basis. This position requires previous work experience in ticket sales management in a public or private assembly facility, arena or performing arts center.
This individual must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required and work irregular hours based on event schedule. When practical under the circumstances, staff member is encouraged to voluntarily attend all athletic department events to promote audience participation and support for NIU team efforts. As a staff member within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, employee is responsible for knowledge of and compliance with National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) regulations, both those general in nature and those which apply directly to position’s responsibilities. Strict adherence to all applicable governing policies, procedures, and regulations of the NCAA is required and is a condition of employment.
1. High school graduation or equivalent. 2. Any combination totaling four years fro m the following categories: (a) work experience involving areas such as concession operations, crowd control, record keeping, ticket sales, parking control, and/or event coordination in a public assembly facility, such as stadiums and multipurpose, conference or performing arts centers. (b) college coursework in any discipline, as measured by the following conv ersion table or its proportional equivalent: · 60 semester hours equ als one year · 90 semester hours equals two years · 120 semester hours or a Bachelor’s degree equals three years 3. Demonstrated work experience in ticket sales management fo r a public assembly facility, such as stadiums and multipurpose conference or performing arts center.
Education and Experience Preferred Experience with Ticketmaster software, Archtics and/or Host Previous cash Handling experience Experience working in a college athletic department, for a professional team, or in a public venue. Management of Ticket operations experience preferred
