Ball State University’s Student Athlete Support Services office is accepting applications for an Academic Coordinator for varsity student athletes. This position will work directly with students and athletic personal to coordinate academic advising and support for student athletes.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one year of experience in education or related area. In addition, superior interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Proficiency with MS Software and ability and drive to learn other software. Must be flexible in regard to schedule with possible nights and weekends required.

Preferred qualifications: Experience in monitoring and arranging support for a diverse student population. Experience working with at-risk students at the collegiate level, preferably in an intercollegiate athletics environment. Experience in academic mentoring and developmental education. Experience with assessment of academic preparedness. Experience with NCAA continuing eligibility, counseling skills and knowledge of learning styles. Knowledge of Banner, Degreeworks, and/or GradesFirst.
