Under general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director-Development and the direct supervision of the Director of Development, serve as the Development Coordinator for the Athletic Development Office. Major duties include supporting the Development team with fundraising efforts including providing annual fund related customer service to donors, support for major gift initiatives, assist with special event planning, and providing general support for the Athletic Development Office. This position will also serve as an ambassador for UW Athletics on the phone and in person during special events and supporting other general fundraising initiatives. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
40% Assist with management of multiple annual giving solicitations throughout the year and follow up activities associated with the donor benefits program. 30% Provide assistance with major gift areas of the athletic development program 20% Assist with coordinating donor stewardship special events for the Athletic Development Office. 10% Provide assistance with database systems management and office support.
Thorough knowledge of Athletic Development Office policies and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and willing to learn new applications such as Paciolan's Fund Development software program.
Ability to independently plan, establish priorities, organize a varied and complex workload while providing attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
NOTE: Multiple positions available. These positions are for an initial one (1) year appointment with the potential for a mutually agreed upon second one (1) year appointment for a maximum of two years.
