Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for the full-time position of Athletics Business Operations Coordinator. Stevens is a member of the Empire 8, ECAC and NCAA Division III and offers 26 varsity sports (13 for men and 13 for women), 13 club sports, a wide variety of intramural sports and special events, an extensive outdoor adventure program and a wide selection of wellness/fitness classes. Located in Hoboken, New Jersey, a historic small town that is just minutes away from Manhattan, Stevens has an enrollment of over 3,100 undergraduate students.
Position (full-time): Athletics Business Operations Coordinator reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Administration
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ budget, business administration, accounts payable or finance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in an intercollegiate athletics department preferred. Proficiency with intermediate-level spreadsheet, database and word processing applications.
Responsibilities: Provide assistance to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Administration in coordinating all athletic department financial matters to include all operating budgets and numerous other special accounts. Handle cash and check deposits for the department on a regular basis. Provide guidance to budget managers in planning and maintenance of each individual budget. Responsible for learning all necessary aspects of the Kuali Financial Services system. Execute all department purchase orders; handle all invoicing and billing for department transactions. Learn and manage all relevant aspects of the Concur travel and expense system and serve as delegate for Assistant Athletic Director. Responsible for NCAA pre and post-event reporting under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director. Assist with event management duties and provide facility oversight for all athletics and recreational facilities as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
