The Director for Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience. This position will oversee the marketing plan development and implementation, ticket sales, sponsor activation and game presentation for Men’s Basketball and other Olympics Sports as needed – with a key focus on maximizing ticket revenue, increasing fan attendance and enhancing the Maryland Athletics brand.
Additional responsibilities include: Oversight of Assistant Director for Marketing & Fan Experience and Marketing Assistant; Intern oversight for select Olympic Sports; manage media trade, advertising strategy and large PO contracts/fulfillment; partner with digital marketing and social media department to coordinate direct marketing campaigns; Planning/promotion/execution of Maryland Madness event; collaborate with Video Services unit to create TV and radio spots as well as creative in-game video elements that maximize fan experience; gameday operations, fan development and revenue generation initiatives for Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball and various Olympic Sports; Direct involvement in creative fan engagement and branding initiatives; collaborate with the Athletic Ticket Office and the fan relationship management center (FRMC) to develop ticket sales campaigns and identify new prospects; Manage selection, communication and advertisement of all Pride Games, Athletic Department The Pride student group liaison and other duties as assigned.

Minimum of three (3) years of sports marketing experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of sports marketing experience preferably at the NCAA Division I or professional sports level.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop. Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends.
Education (include licenses, certification, etc.): Bachelor’s degree required in sports management, marketing, advertising or other related field
