Southern Arkansas University (NCAA Division II) is reviving its tennis programs in the fall semester of 2018 and is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Head Men's and Women’s Tennis Coach to start January 2018. Duties: Responsible for the SAU Men’s and Women’s tennis programs; recruitment of qualified student-athletes; provide effective management of matches and practices; budgeting; scheduling; individual and team development; alumni communication; establish a strong working relationship with the University and surrounding community; follow NCAA, Great American Conference, and University rules and regulations; develop athletes to achieve success on the court and in the classroom. Additional assignments, depending on qualifications, could be given by the Director of Athletics and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred; coaching and collegiate experience preferred; proven ability to lead and manage people; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability and success in teaching the skills and fundamentals of the sport; ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to maximum performance level in tennis; academic achievements; proven experience in recruiting highly motivated and qualified student-athletes; experience in budget management.
