The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Assistant Director of Broadcast & Video Production (ACC Network Assistant Producer). This position is responsible for assisting in all facets of production for the Pitt Athletic Department’s ACC Network broadcasts. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): serving as the producer for ACC Network broadcasts; creating broadcast formats, graphics, and feature inserts; and training students and freelancers. The Assistant Director must be able and willing to operate the broadcast control room equipment. The individual will work extensively with broadcast character generators and production switchers. The incumbent will need to work independently, but will also assist the Director of Broadcast & Video Production (ACC Network Producer), and train freelance operators and students. The Assistant Director will also manage the event budget. The incumbent must be willing to work nights and weekends and will report directly to the Director of Broadcast & Video Production. A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one years’ broadcast experience is required, preferably in sports broadcasting. The candidate should be able to operate broadcast control room equipment including, but not limited to: character generator, production switcher, broadcast cameras, replay systems, and audio consoles. Remote production experience is preferred and as well as an understanding of signal flow and routing.
