Plan and develop daily business functions for various departments within the athletic organization. Ensure the athletic organization maintains a favorable public and stakeholder perception while fulfilling the organization's strategic mission.
Plan or direct development or communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public perceptions of an athletic department.
Prepare or edit releases for internal and external audiences, including social and other media.
Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for coaches and student-athletes to increase awareness or to promote goodwill.
Research topics using the internet, video archives, and other informational sources.
Write and edit news stories from information collected by reporters and other sources.
Level of supervision received.
Describe the amount of supervision this position receives.
Moderate - Access to supervisor and/or lead coworker, when needed.
Comply with all NCAA, Big 12 and Texas Tech University rules, regulations and policies.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus three (3) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven (7) years.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in related area.
