Graduate Assistant student will assist with all aspects of the Women’s Soccer Program at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. This posting is for two positions. One position will be available Spring 2018, the other position will be available Fall 2018.
Description of Job Duties
A Graduate Assistant at Southwestern Oklahoma State University will gain essential work and educational experience needed to obtain full-time employment in their chosen field. The Graduate Assistant is eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester. Graduate Assistant must maintain a minimum of 2.50 GPA and be enrolled in at least 5 hours of classes for the fall and spring semesters. A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee. For example: teaching/instructing undergraduates in or out of the classroom as assigned, critiquing/grading undergraduate work/skills, etc.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree completed; enrolled in graduate program and working in field of study. Terms of Employment: Rate of pay: $2800/semester (fall and spring) ENROLLMENTREQUIREMENTS: Fall/Spring Semesters: Enrollment is considered 5 hours for graduates. Summer Semester Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 hours. If the number of hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum hours required to work, the student must obtain a letter from his/her advisor stating the number of hours needed to graduate. Additional Salary Information: In addition to salary, the Graduate Assistant will also receive 18 hours of tuition waived per year.
