Marist College is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 23 varsity sports, and is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Athletic Trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers work under the direction of a physician as prescribed by state licensure statutes. This position reports to the Coordinator of Sports Medicine.
Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-Accredited undergraduate program or Approved Entry-Level Master’s Degree. Must possess, or be eligible for, certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC); and Athletic Training Certification in the State of New York. Must possess current certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED. Knowledge of NCAA rules and experience in NCAA Division I preferred.
