The Marist Athletics Department invites applications for a part-time Women’s Water Polo Assistant Coach to work 29 hours per week. Part-time assistant coach position will participate in the preparation, coordination, practice & game plan preparation, and execution of practice plans during the academic year. The position is responsible for the identification, research of, and communication with prospective student athletes during the course of the calendar year. The assistant coach will also assist in the academic, personal, and career mentoring of student-athletes.
Bachelor’s degree required. Strong knowledge of NCAA, MAAC and Marist College rules and regulations; demonstrated ability to recruit quality student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success; excellent oral and written communication skills. Collegiate water polo coaching experience preferred. Ability to manage and develop staff; Strong management and supervisory skills required. Certification in CPR, first aid and AED will be required prior to completion of probation period. Lifting requirements: Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
