Midway University is establishing a Men’s wrestling program and is actively recruiting a full time head coach. This individual will play a key role in establishing and recruiting for this new initiative. Key responsibilities include recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, scheduling, promoting, training and conditioning, skill instruction, student-athlete and staff development, academic support, compliance, and game plan preparation and strategy. Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director.

A Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Prior coaching experience is required; demonstrated success building and promoting a program at the collegiate level is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have prior recruiting experience as well as experience with athletic fundraising, alumni relations and community engagement in addition to previous budgetary management experience. Candidates should have familiarity and working knowledge of wrestling rules and commitment to a strong compliance culture. The selected individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a commitment to the academic and life skills development of student-athletes. The successful candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL within a reasonable period.
