Cornell University is seeking a full-time Assistant Equipment Manager for Football (Material Handler S07). This position will assist the Equipment Manager of Schoellkopf Hall. Duties include: Coordinate the equipment needs for assigned athletic teams. Issue pin bags, uniforms, protective equipment, and sport equipment; repair and recondition equipment; fit protective equipment; assist the Sprint football team at home and away games; assist the Varsity football team at home and away games as needed; assist in laundry operation for athletics and physical education; maintain athletic equipment inventory for the teams, bill student bursar accounts for unturned or lost equipment. In charge of the computerizing of the athletic equipment inventory for the teams. Hours and schedule subject to change depending on sport season and vacation coverage.
Position requires Athletic Equipment Managers Association Certification
Minimum of 2 years as an Athletic Equipment Manager after certification with experience with protective equipment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Supervisory experience required
CPR and First Aid certification required (can obtain after employment)
Ability to lift, move, and carry (pushing and pulling) required
Knowledge of a large variety of athletic equipment required
Computer use a must. Knowledge and use of Word, Excel, and File Maker required
