Directs ticket operations in the absence of the Director of Ticket Operations. Provides high level customer service to ticket purchasers and IPTAY donors. Assists with all business and accounting transactions related to the Athletic Ticket Office, ticket sales, and receipts. Assists in the general operation of Ticket Office functions.
20% - Essential - Customer Service: Receives incoming calls and visitors daily, including game days. Refers or assists customers appropriately. Addresses customer questions relative to: charge computer orders, seating and parking locations, ticket purchases, etd. Solves programmatic and procedural problems. Maintains substantial knowledge of Athletic and IPTAY rules and regulations. Dispenses tickets to the counter customers collecting payments by method of cash, check or credit card.
20% - Essential - Student-Employee Oversight: Develops and manages the schedules for student-employees within the Ticket Office. Trains student-employees and provides them with all appropriate information to ensure great customer service.
20% - Essential - Will Call & Guest Services Oversight: Oversees will call and guest services for all Football and Men's Basketball home games. Ensures areas are properly staffed and empowered wtih necessary information for quality customer service.
20% - Essential - Ticket Ordering: Verifies season and single ticket orders ensuring enclosed payment matches order. Batches orders and posts information into database system. Runs reports and balances receipts against orders posted to the system.
20% - Manages all facets of ticket operations for assigned sports. Responds to and/or routes all incoming correspondence. Coordinates pricing decisions with appropriate administrative staff. Ensures communication relaltive to all ticket information is clearly commuicated and promoted to customers.
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
JOB KNOWLEDGE Firm Working Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied sitiuations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory Duties - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Preferred - Bachelors degree and previous sales experience
