Description:Under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing, Branding and Fan Development, the Athletics Event Management and Game Operation Manager manages all Department of Intercollegiate events, with the emphasis on customer experience, logistics, scheduling, supervision and training of support staff on game management, and event setup and breakdown. The incumbent leads one assistant events manager and oversees recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling of event staff for all home contests and special events; operates in the scope and intent of the NCAA, Big West Conference, and CSUN rules and regulations; works closely with sport administrators, coaching staffs and the athletics compliance office on contest schedules, and event management, including game day home and visiting team ticket operations; collaborates with CSUN Marketing and Communications departments on game day operations to ensure an exceptional fan experience for regular and post-season play; oversees budget and purchasing related to Event Managements; records management; primary liaison to visiting teams, vendors and related university personnel; oversees, coordinates and executes athletic department emergency action plan and venue evacuation procedures; point person for athletic competition contracts and agreements including NCAA and Big West Conference post-season contests; works in conjunction with administration to ensure events policy and operation manual are updates and being followed; and performs other duties as assigned.
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field required. Equivalent to five years of full-time, progressively responsible relevant experience. Oversight and administration of a program with supervision and/or lead experience. Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty, and operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Advanced knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Ability and specialized skills to: take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved; expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications; ability to train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistics; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Additional Salary Information: The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4693 - $5600, dependent upon qualifications and experience.Hours: Full Time; 40 hours per week; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday; may include some evenings and weekends.
