Wellesley College is seeking a head squash coach for its club team for the upcoming season, which runs from October 2017 to February 2018. Wellesley College is a women’s college located outside of Boston in Wellesley, MA. The team’s goal is to provide opportunities for its members to learn and develop skills in playing squash at an open and encouraging environment. The team is composed of players ranging from beginners to experienced players and we hope that each player enjoys playing squash but also becomes competitive at their respective level through training. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can 1) design and facilitate practices and 2) provide coaching during matches. We are willing to work out a practice schedule depending on the coach’s availability. Practices will be 3-4 days/ week and matches will take place on some weekends (mostly Saturdays) during the season.
Requirements: ? Experience coaching squash, preferably at collegiate and/or high school teams ? Plan and attend all practices ? Provide coaching during matches ? Drive students to and from practices at Dana Hall School, a high school located 5 minutes drive away, with a college-provided vehicle. ? Excellent communication skill to be in contact with the team captains throughout the season ? Clearance to drive College vehicles and successful completion of a college-administered driving test
The position is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible appointment in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics for the 2017-18 academic year. The Club Coach reports to Director of Recreation. The salary is $5,000 for this season. A CORI and SORI background check is required for all college hires.
