Saint Anselm College, a Catholic, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department. This position will provide a full range of support and clerical tasks for the administrative and coaching staff including answering phones, walk-in reception, responding to inquiries, assisting in the preparation of varsity contracts; preparing monthly game calendars, processing transportation requests, handling correspondence, performing data entry, and a variety of other clerical duties related to the department’s function. This position has frequent non-traditional hours and some evenings expected/required. This is a tremendous entry-level position for individuals seeking to pursue a career in athletics administration.
Associates degree plus 1-2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook, as well as proficiency maintaining database systems and generating excel and database reports. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as strong attention to detail required. Must be comfortable with multi-tasking and working in a flexible fast paced team environment with a positive attitude and sense of humor. Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or Athletic Administration preferred.
