The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Equipment Intern. This is a full-time 12 month paid internship and will work primarily with the Ohio State varsity sports programs. This internship position will assist the full-time Equipment staff with all equipment related activities including, but not limited to: inventory control; ordering, purchasing and distributing items to assigned teams and staff on a daily basis; student-athlete equipment/apparel issuance and retrieval, letter award program and game day/travel operation for sports assigned. This position will assist with the supervision of student managers and help with daily laundry operation. This is an entry level, career-based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months of practical experience. This position is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of equipment management. Internship positions are appointed on an annual basis. Some travel may be needed. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience with equipment management for a collegiate or professional team is required.
